Maternal & Child Health
The Maternal and Child Health programs offer a wide range of services for pregnant women, mothers, infants, children and teens.
Children 1st: Screens infants and children who might benefit from these programs:
Early Hearing Detection and Intervention: Follows up on infants who do not pass hearing screening at birthing facility
Babies Can’t Wait: Coordinates services for children ages birth to 3 years with developmental delays
Children’s Medical Services: Provides specialists’ care, equipment, medication and supplies for those ages birth to 20 years with a chronic medical condition
Mothers Offering Resources and Education (MORE): Offers support, education and referrals to pregnant women and new mothers
Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC): Provides supplemental food, education and breastfeeding support to pregnant women, new mothers and children to age 5
Adolescent Health and Youth Development: Offers education to youth ages 10 to 19 years on asthma self-management, sexual responsibility and bullying prevention
