Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening

The Breast and Cervical Cancer Program offers the following services to women and transgender men who are U.S. citizens, low-income and uninsured:

  • For those 40 to 64 years old, the program provides breast examinations and mammograms to screen for breast cancer.
  • For those 21 to 64 years old, the program provides pelvic examinations and Pap tests to screen for cervical cancer.

If results are abnormal, diagnostic evaluations are completed and clients are referred for treatment through the Women’s Health Medicaid Program.

Services are free for those who qualify.

Natural-born men are referred to the Grady Health System.
