Adolescent Health
& Youth Development

The DeKalb County Board of Health’s Adolescent Health & Youth Development program provides services to youth ages 10 to 19.  The program administers both health education and youth development programs to the district of DeKalb.  There are three teen centers. Each teen center provides youth development programs which include
after-school programs, health education, tutorial sessions and group activities.

Health Education and youth development activities are also provided within the community. Clifton Springs Health Center provides reproductive health clinical services for adolescents participating in the program at no cost. A few examples of our district programs are trainings, workshops, conferences and marketing campaigns.  In addition, trainings are facilitated for parents and other youth-serving agencies. The Adolescent Health & Youth Development program collaborates with a number of community partners to provide services to youth and their families.
