DECATUR, Ga. – As much as school-age children in DeKalb County dread the reality, summer break is just about over. Is your child up to date? It’s time to vaccinate!

With the DeKalb County School District beginning the new school year on Monday, August 2, and City Schools of Decatur following the next day on Tuesday, August 3, the DeKalb County Board of Health is gearing up to make sure all children in DeKalb County are ready for the first day of school, by ensuring they are up to date on their recommended vaccines, like Tdap, meningitis booster, HPV vaccine, COVID-19 vaccine, and vision, hearing, dental, and nutrition screenings.
