Park Prescription Day is a national day of activities taking place in parks and green spaces around the country. Park Prescription is a growing movement of prescribing nature to improve health. Using parks reduces stress, improves mental wellness, encourages physical activity and encourages healthier lifestyles.

What will happen on DeKalb County Park Prescription Day?

Park Prescription Day is Saturday, April 25, 2020.  All DeKalb County Park Prescription events are free and open to the public

The DeKalb County Board of Health is coordinating the county’s observance of Park Rx Day. A planning committee of representatives from government, non-profit and community organizations and county residents is organizing the celebration.
