Status of Health

The Status of Health in DeKalb Report describes time and geographic patterns of diseases and injuries, birth trends, leading causes of death and premature death, and health behaviors. This information is useful in identifying health improvement opportunities (i.g., grant writing, policy development, program development or sustainability) and serving as a stimulus for community action.

The 2015 Status of Health in DeKalb Report is the most recent in a series by the DeKalb County Board of Health. The 2015 report analyzes data on the leading health issues and some of the risk factors associated with these issues in DeKalb County. This report emphasizes information related to identified priority areas and provides specific opportunities for prevention in these areas.
